Make-A-Wish Foundation had a request from Tyler Autry, a 15 year old battling Rhabdomyosarcoma (soft-tissue cancer). Davis-Green was so happy to help with this wish to trick out and pump up Tyler's F-350 Truck before his 16th Birthday! After fighting soft-tissue cancer and struggling with aggressive chemotherapy, Tyler has been healthy for nearly a year now.

Just in time for Christmas, an East Texas teenager's wish comes true. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. A new set of wheels, with a shiny paint job and a custom interior. An early Christmas gift for Whitehouse High School Senior Josh Hays, whose wish has been granted. "It's breathtaking," Hays said. "You couldn't ask for a better truck; you couldn't ask for better people to do it for you." Hays has battled cancer since he was a young child. A year ago, he wished for a "tricked out truck." And thanks to several East Texas automotive businesses and the Make-A-Wish foundation, it has come true. "This is the best Christmas anyone could possibly want to give," said Susie Presswood of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. "Help a child who's been through so much like Josh has been through." Employees at Davis-Green Paint & Body Shop completed a total transformation on a Chevy truck donated by Josh's father. "It just about brings tears to your eyes," said Darren Davis, President of Davis-Green Paint & Body Shop. "You see a bunch of grown men and women trying to hold back the tears. That's the best part, to see him walk over to his dad and hug his dad and grin when he see that truck. That's really why we did it. "It's amazing that there's that many caring people there that cared enough to donate time, money, parts, and services to help enable him to be able to get it," Josh's mother, Susan Hall said. "It was truly amazing." "I don't ask for much," Josh said. "I asked for this one thing and they made it come true. They did an excellent job, a real good job." For Josh's family, it's a holiday blessing that will make this Christmas one they will always remember.
